Frank Daly RIP

The death has taken place of Frank Daly, Kiltoom. Frank captained Athlone Rugby Football Club in season 1954/55 when he led the club to their first Connacht Senior Cup triumph. He was a key contributor to Athlone’s first Connacht Senior League success the following year. A fullback he was capped by Connacht against Munster in 1954.

 

Deepest condolences are extended to his wife Patricia and family, particularly sons Niall and Kevin who also have long association with the club. May he rest in eternal peace.

 

Funeral arrangements:- Reposing at St. Brigid’s Funeral Home, Brideswell, on Wednesday from 4.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. Requiem Mass in Church of the Risen Christ, Kiltoom, on Thursday at 11 a.m.

Heartfelt sympathy is also extended to Kevin Canavan and family on the tragic passing of his son-in-law Donnchadh Glynn, Turloughmore, Galway. Reposing this Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Sioraoiocht, Assumption and St. James’ Church, Claregalway. Requiem Mass in Claregalway church on Wednesday at 12 noon.
