The traditional Exiles Cup fixture will take place at Dubarry Park on St. Stephen’s Day, kick off 2.30 p.m. At stake will be the James Moran Exiles Perpetual Cup and the small matter of pride and bragging rights! The President’s XV won this much coveted trophy last year when they denied the Exiles Selection making it a hat-trick of victories. Cian Moran 0877974208 and Conor Moran 0868522874 are the driving forces behind this year’s match. Players wishing to run off the Christmas turkey and ham excesses and participate in the match should contact them to be included in either team for this the 27th staging of this popular event. The presentation of the Cup and other awards will take place after the match in The Bounty when locals and exiles can renew acquaintance.

BUCCANEERS host the Connacht Senior Cup final at Dubarry Park on Saturday, January 5th. Galway Corinthians will be opponents for this early New Year showdown which kicks off at 2 p.m. Buccs last won the Cup two seasons ago when they overcame Corinthians on a foggy night in Galway. That was a tight enough encounter with the midlanders prevailing 17-10. It was even closer when the clubs met in this season’s Connacht Senior League at the same venue where Buccs edged the decision 28-25. With silverware on offer, the exchanges are likely to be contested with fervour and vigour in this first game of the New Year.

Buccaneers Girls and underage teams have produced a 2019 Calendar. It can be purchased from underage coaches/managers or at The Bounty. Cost is only €10 per calendar. Kindly support this venture.
