Buccs Lotto Jackpot still at €10,000

The numbers drawn in this week's Buccaneers Lotto were 7, 10, 19 & 20. There was no winner so next week's JACKPOT, which will be drawn for in The Bounty on Saturday night, is a whopping €10,000. Certainly worth chancing a two Euro or even a fiver for!  Brian Murphy and Mark Kelly both matched three numbers to share €200.

Buccaneers 31 Tuam 7

Buccaneers Womens team defeated Tuam 31-7 in a friendly at Dubarry Park on Friday night. Buccs utilised their full squad, including some guesting for the visitors, and tried various permutations in a mixed performance. Niamh Ni Dhroma was the classiest operator on view as she helped herself to two tries and three conversions. Aisling Kelleher also scored a brace of tries while Elaine Conlon completed the haul of five tries. Tuam scored a first half try as Buccs led 12-7 at the break

DUNMORE 25 BUCCANEERS 14

Despite sustaining a 25-14 loss away to Dunmore in the Connacht Junior 1B League on Sunday, this was a much-improved effort by Buccaneers Development squad. Declan Byrne was the star performer here, capped by a super try, with Trevor Thompson also driving over for a try. Ger Fallon converted both scores. Dominic Griffith, Rory Byrne and Nigel Flynn were others to impress.

Family Day / Registration

There was a wonderful turnout at Family Day which also incorporated Youths & Minis Registrations. Dubarry Park was a hive of activity with minis rugby on the main pitch, busy action on the bouncing castles, face painting and seeming like tons of hot dogs being consumed by the hordes of young pirates! Noah Clarke, unfortunately, sustained an injury at the event and he is wished a full and speedy recovery.
