HENSHAW JOINS McCARTHY IN IRELAND SENIOR SQUAD!

ROBBIE HENSHAW has been named in an extended Ireland Senior panel for a squad camp prior to the forthcoming RBS Six Nations Championship. He joins Mike McCarthy in the players named by coach Declan Kidney. It has been an incredible season to date for the Athlone teenager who was named Man of the Match in Connacht’s Heineken Cup win over Zebre on Friday. Henshaw is likely to feature for Ireland Wolfhounds against England Saxons in Galway Sportsground on Friday night, kick off 7.35 p.m. Carpe Diem, Robbie!

Robbie Henshaw, whose sensational breakthrough form has seen the Buccaneers teenager play in every Connacht Senior fixture to date this season, has been named the ‘Connacht Player of the Month’ for November. This seals a wonderful year for this exciting prospect who signed an improved two-year contract with the province recently. Incredibly, in the press release issued by Connacht accompanying the extension of his contract, every sportsclub/team Henshaw played for was mentioned bar Buccaneers!

The late Maura Harten

Her husband Kieran is a former Junior XV captain as well as having being on the club's Bar Rota. Deepest sympathy is extended to Kieran, daughters Sinead and Aoife, her mother Sadie Mulhern and the extended family.
