WOMENS ALL-IRELAND CUP FINALS AT DUBARRY PARK ON SUNDAY

published:Apr  20

The Womens All-Ireland Cup finals take place at Dubarry Park, Athlone, on this Sunday, April 23rd from 12 noon with three cracking contests in prospect.

First up is the all-Leinster meeting of TULLAMORE (recently promoted to Division One in the AIL) and RATHDRUM, kicking off at 12 o'clock in the Plate final.

The Shield final gets under way at 1 p.m. and it is an all south-Dublin derby between RAILWAY UNION and OLD BELVEDERE with bragging rights in that neighbourhood up for grabs.

Two powerhouses of womens rugby battle it out in the Cup final with the main event pitting BLACKROCK against arch rivals (and the only Munster club involved on the day) UL BOHEMIAN. This should provide topclass fare from 3 p.m.

Prior to the three finals, the Womens World Cup Trophy Tour will get the proceedings under way from 10.30 a.m. Ladies and Girls aged 12 upwards are invited to join members of the Ireland Womens Rugby squad to "Give Rugby A Try".

All welcome to come along and enjoy the day!
