IRELAND take on FRANCE in a vital ‘ELECTRIC IRELAND’ U-20 Six Nations Championship match at DUBARRY PARK, ATHLONE, on FRIDAY night, MARCH 8th.
A record crowd attended the ‘boys in green’ late, late victory over champions England earlier this month and if you wish to be part of another bumper crowd and enjoy the atmosphere, then buy your tickets early! VALENTINE'S YOUTH DISCO ON FRIDAY

A VALENTINE’S YOUTH DISCO takes place in the “Lower Deck” at The Bounty on this Friday night, February 15th, from 9 p.m. till midnight with top DJ Paul Harte.
This alcohol-free, supervised Junior Disco is organised by Buccaneers RFC in association with the Athlone Drugs Awareness Group and the support of Athlone Gardai. Consequently, it is a good environment for teenagers to enjoy their night out.
Admission is reserved and no under-15s will be admitted. Entry fee is €10 and tickets can be purchased at the door on the night. Get there early!

ELECTRIC IRELAND U-20 SIX NATIONS TICKETS & PRE-MATCH INFO

In association with ELECTRIC IRELAND, IRELAND again play their U-20 Six Nations Championship matches in Dubarry Park, Athlone, this season. This year the two big powerhouses of European rugby provide the opposition. First up will be champions England on Friday, February 8th, while France arrive on Friday, March 8th. Tickets for these hugely-anticipated matches go on sale later this week. Meanwhile, Buccaneers RFC is hosting pre-match functions in The Bounty for both games with pre-match     3-course dinner at 5 p.m. on both occasions. Wine will also be served and patrons will have a reserved seat in the stand. All this for just €40 per person which is really solid value. Cost per table of eight persons is €320 or only €600 for both games. Smaller groups can also be catered for.

BUCCANEERS U-21 players are holding a fun fundraiser in The Bounty on this Saturday night from 8.30 p.m. A BBQ at only €10 per person gets the proceedings under way before the real business and fun including Karaoke and Waxing begins. Any guys willing to be waxed, especially in this artic weather, deserve to gather whatever sponsorship they can, while it could well be worthwhile to sponsor some of these bravehearts to stop singing when the Karaoke gets into full swing!

Connacht Eagles v Cross Keys

CONNACHT EAGLES rematch with Cross Keys in the British & Irish Cup is the top fixture at Dubarry Park this weekend. The Welsh team, last season’s runners-up in this tournament, edged the Eagles 17-12 last weekend but the Eagles will be optimistic of overcoming the visitors in Athlone on Saturday. The 2 p.m. kick-off will enable supporters to watch the Heineken Cup matches (particularly Leinster v Clermont Auvergne) afterwards on the big screens at The Bounty.

Womens Christmas Party this Friday night

The annual Buccaneers Ladies Christmas Party takes place in The Bounty on this Friday night, December 7th and it has a topical ’50 Shades of Red’ theme! The event begins with a mulled wine reception at 8 pm and you can continue to “tease your senses” with a 3-course dinner, followed by live entertainment from Terry & Bianca Benson. Santa will make an appearance on the night so please bring a small gift. In keeping with tradition, players from the Senior squad will be on hand to ‘wait and serve’ the ladies. This is usually a very enjoyable occasion with much banter and craic. Kindly contact Geraldine in advance to confirm attendance and/or purchase tickets.
